The China Study Centre at the University of Peshawar was inaugurated on October 17, 2016, with the aim of promoting understanding and cooperation between Pakistan and China. The centre focuses on research activities related to Chinese society, economy, politics, history, culture, and Pak-China relations, including the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).
