Mr. Mahmood Khan Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa visited University of Peshawar on 21/12/2022. The honorable Chief Minister was accompanied by Mr. Taimur Saleem Khan (Minister – Health & Finance Department), Mr. Kamran Khan Bangash (Minister – Higher Education, Archives & Libraries), Mr. Dawood Khan (Secretary Higher Education, Archives & Libraries) and Mr. Riaz Khan Mahsud, (Commissioner Peshawar). The honorable guests were welcomed by Prof. Dr. Muhammad Idrees Vice Chancellor, University of Peshawar, Prof. Dr. Zahid Anwar, Pro-Vice-Chancellor University of Peshawar, Deans, faculties, Registrar, HODs, and students. The honorable Chief Minister inaugurated Department of Criminology and Incubation Center. He said that University of Peshawar is the oldest and very important university of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The provincial government will continue its support to resolve the financial issues of the university. The University of Peshawar should focus on raising the quality of teaching and research so that it can become a regional hub of Higher Education as per dream of Quaid-e-Azam. The worthy Vice Chancellor thanked the Chief Minister for his visit and support to University of Peshawar.
