SCHOLARSHIPS

We have allocated a limited number of scholarships for students who are financially weak and who struggle to pay their semester fee.  

• This scholarship is open to all currently enrolled students of BS/MS/MPhil/PhD who are financially weak and needy.
• Students interested in applying for the scholarship under Category-A should fill in the relevant form (Form-A) and submit it to their respective Department/Institute/College along with all the supporting documents.
• The concerned Department/Centre/Institute/College of the University will scrutinize all applications, shortlist the applicants, and recommend up to two eligible and needy students for the Scholarship, in order of priority.
• Deadline: The concerned Department/College/Institute/Centre will send the application forms, complete in all respects, of the recommended students to the secretary of the Scholarship Award Committee before April 10, 2026.
• No incomplete application form will be entertained.
• The final selection will be confirmed by the Chinese Ambassador Scholarship Committee.

This year, we have specified a certain number of the Chinese Ambassador Scholarships to those post-graduate students currently enrolled in any discipline/program of the University of Peshawar who are conducting Research on Chinese culture, language, history, economy, scientific achievements, global impact, and any other topic related to China.

• Preference will be given to post-graduate students/research scholars whose research work is highly relevant to China-related topics.
• Category-B scholarship will be awarded only to those scholars who have successfully completed their coursework.
• Students interested in applying under this category will be required to submit the specific application designed for this purpose. (Form-B).
• Students interested in applying under Category B may submit their applications directly to the secretary of the Scholarship Award Committee, subject to recommendations and endorsement of the concerned supervisor.
• Deadline: There is no fixed deadline for Category-B of the Chinese Ambassador Scholarships. The scholarships will be awarded on first come first served basis. Therefore, interested students are free to apply anytime for these scholarships. However, keeping in view the next meeting of the scholarship award committee, which will take place in April 2026, students interested in applying under Category B will be required to submit a hard copy of the Chinese Ambassador Scholarship Program application form along with all supporting documents to the China Study Centre before the deadline, i.e., April 10, 2026.
• No incomplete application form will be entertained.
• The final selection will be confirmed by the Chinese Ambassador Scholarship Committee.

A small portion of the Chinese Ambassador Scholarships has been reserved for students pursuing Certificate/Diploma programs in Chinese Language and/or Studies at the University of Peshawar.

• This Category of scholarships is intended to attract the maximum number of students to study the Chinese language and other Diploma courses in Chinese society and culture.
• Students interested in applying under this category will be required to submit the specific application designed for this purpose. (Form-C).
• The amount of scholarship awarded to each student/applicant under this category may vary and will be determined according to the nature of the certificate/diploma.
• Deadline: There is no fixed deadline for Category-C of the Chinese Ambassador scholarships. The scholarships will be awarded on first come first served basis. Therefore, interested students are free to apply anytime for these scholarships.
• No incomplete application form will be entertained.
• The final selection will be confirmed by the Chinese Ambassador Scholarship Committee.
