China Study Center, University of Peshawar successfully organized One Week Workshop entitled “CHINA TODAY” from 5th to 9th December 2022 at the conference hall of China Study Center, University of Peshawar.
The one-week workshop comprised five sessions in addition to the concluding session. Six presentations were made by eminent speakers/scholars that covered various themes including “Economy of the People’s Republic of China”, “Constitution of the People’s Republic of China”, “Development of Science and Technology in the People’s Republic of China”, “Geography of the People’s Republic of China”, “History of China” “Pakistan-China Relations”, “Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) and China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC)”.
The one-week workshop was attended (Online and Offline) by the large number of students, MPhil & Ph.D. scholars from Pakistan. The Participants benefited from the valuable work presented and learnt a lot about China.
In the concluding session of the one-week workshop Prof. Dr. Zahid Anwar Pro-Vice-Chancellor/ Dean Faculty of Social Sciences and Director China Study Center, University of Peshawar talked about the contemporary developments in China in global and regional context. He also discussed the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) and China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). And said that China’s BRI project is based on win-win model for all the member countries. Pakistan should take full advantage of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). The corridor aims to enhance the well-being of people throughout the country and bring long-term prosperity and stability. he added.
Prof. Zahid Anwar congratulated all the participants and distributed certificates among the participants who successfully completed their one-week workshop “CHINA TODAY” at China Study Center, University of Peshawar.
