The president of voice a peace, Mr Yang Sen along with Prof. Dr. Alexander WANG, Shanghai International Studies University, China visited China Study Centre, University of Peshawar on 3rd April 2023. Mr Yang Sen is a famous Chinese journalist based in Islamabad and covers Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), Pakistan China Relations and regional peace and development in five languages. Mr Yang Sen set up includes Peace TV and a website.
Professor Dr Zahid Anwar welcomed Mr Yang Sen and Professor Wang to China Study Centre, University of Peshawar PAKISTAN. Dr Zahid Anwar explained different academic activities undertaken by the Centre, he also highlighted the translations of Chinese classics into Urdu and Pashto languages by the Centre; launching the Journal of Pakistan in China studies and its recognition by HEC in category Y; by was another milestone issued by the Center he explained
BS, MS and PhD Courses in Sinology which were designed by the Centre and approved by the Academic Council and Syndicate of the University of Peshawar;
Field Studies of Gwadar Deep Sea Port and Rashakai Special Economic Zone conducted by the Center and many other projects of the Center were explained in detail to the honorable guests. Mr Yang Sen appreciated the efforts of China Study Centre particularly of professor Anwar for strengthening the bonds of understanding between the two countries and its people. Mr Yang Sen proposed corporation between the voice of peace and China Study Centre at the University of Peshawar under China Pakistan Economic Corridor. The Director, China Study Center appreciated the idea of collaboration and hoped for a constructive relationship between the two institutions in future. Professor Alexander Wang appreciated the academic and Research activities of China Study Centre, University of Peshawar and stated that China Study Centre, University of Peshawar under the leadership of Professor Zahid Anwar has become the best China Study Centre in Pakistan.
After the meeting the distinguished guests visited different sections of the Center. Professor Anwar thanked Professor Alexander Wang and Mr. Yang Sen for their visit to the Center and hoped that in future more avenues of collaboration will be explored.
