Prof. Dr. Kausar Takrim Director, China Study Center, University of Peshawar along with her team visited the China Embassy, Islamabad on August 30th, 2023 to receive a Check of PKR 6 million. Prof. Dr. Kausar Takrim held a meeting with Mr. Wang Shengjie, Director of the Political Section of the Chinese Embassy, and thanked the China Embassy, Islamabad for providing “Chinese Ambassador Scholarships” for the needy students of the University of Peshawar every year through China Study Center.
She briefed Mr. Wang Shengjie about the progress made by the China Study Center, UoP, and said that the China Study Center is committed to strengthening Pakistan-China relations and promoting people-to-people contact between the two countries. She also emphasizes that China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) has brought many opportunities for Pakistan. China Study Center, UoP is organizing Field/Study visits for the Faculty, Students, academia, and MPhil, and PhD Scholars to see the progress made under CPEC. In this connection two Study Visits have been arranged so far One is to the Rashakai Special Economic Zone, KP and the other is to the Hazara Motorway (CPEC route).
She also said that CSC will play a pivotal role in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, serving as a hub for promoting Chinese culture, traditions, Language and enhancing mutual understanding between the two nations. The China Study Center, UoP efforts will help foster strong relations between Pakistan and China in the future.
